Show All Video's In One Big List

You and I think differently I am sure. Where I think a video should be placed, and where you are looking for it, might be two different things. So, I created one master list that show all the video's available on this site, in one big list. I hope the titles are enough to clarify the meaning.

To Play The Video's

Click on the image next to the description you want to know more about. The video will open in a smaller window (so you don't lose your place) and begin playing as soon as it loads 10% of the video into memory. Please be patient while it loads.

Blogger.com Tasks

[8:55]

Before you can create a blog, you need a Google "recognized" email account.

This video starts at the beginning, and walks you all the way through defining an email address to use, validating that email address, setting up your Blogger.com account, creating a blog, choosing a template and making your first post.

Remember, a Blog is an amazingly effective tool for driving traffic to the site of your choice, train your downline or business partners in whatever you need them to know, allows you to "vent" and publish "whitepapers", all at the push of a button.

[6:48]

I can already hear this question resounding in your head...

"Now what the hell is a link list?"

I could get all technical on you and say it's a collection of related "sites" that you provide hyperlinks to access, but I might scare you. How about this definition... It allows you to send visitors exactly where you want them. This video builds on the process started in Create a Blogger.com Blog, so be sure you start there.

[1:12]

Sometimes, people you don't know will post comments of a nature you would rather not have on your blog for all the world to see. Sadly, many people have discovered that adding a comment to your blog will "leech" some ranking (Google love) from your site, and send it their way. I have also had comments added to some of my blogs about drugs, porn, or someone else's business opportunity.

This short video will show you how to remove the unwanted comment in less than 2 minutes.

[5:46]

When you have autoresponders setup and want to add an opt-in form to your blog, visit here. While this video is specific to an Ad Group I work with, the "how-to" part explains in detail how to add this type of form to your Blogger.com blog.

For the Ad Group members, please open the email I sent with the form particulars for you, before starting this video. For everyone else, copy the "Form Code" that you generated in your autoresponder instead of the code shown in the email in the video. If you have any questions, let me know and I will try to clarify it for you.

Wordpress Blog Tasks

[5:00]

The legendary WordPress five minute installation is no myth. Provided you’ve got all the tools you need to get started, you can easily have WordPress up and running on your server in five minutes or less.

This video demonstrates the quick and easy WordPress installation process. As you’ll see, I complete the installation with time to spare.

Kirk records how-to videos focused on Wordpress which you can see here.... WordpressTraining.com.

One of the coolest features of WordPress is the ability to dramatically change the design of your blog by simply activating a new theme.

The WordPress community has created hundreds (possibly thousands) of free, high-quality themes that you can use on your blog. This video will show you how to find, install, and activate themes.

To see all the video's offered by Kirk on the most excellent WordpressTraining.com site, click this link.

Using AWeber as an Autoresponder will improve your chances of reaching the right people, at the right time, by allowing you to continue marketing to them over time.

A Wordpress blog (the best blogging platform in my opinion) can be a great place to allow people to "Opt-In" to your list.

So, how do you add an AWeber Opt-In form to your Wordpress blog? Well, this video takes you step by step through the process. When you are done, you will be able to create a list in AWeber, add a Web Form, and then put it on your Wordpress blog.

Email

[4:04]

This video will take you step by step through the process of adding a new email account to Outlook using the built in wizard.

You will need to know the POP server and SMTP server names and account login information to make this work. While it only focuses on Outlook, most email clients are the same in terms of features. If you don't know your POP and SMTP settings, please consult your system or ISP administrator.

Note: Generally, when you registered for a new email account, they sent this info in the introduction email, or provide the settings on the FAQ of their site.

[38:51]

Signature lines are a powerful tool you can use to get your message in front of people subtly. A well crafted SIgnature Line is like an army of people out there putting your message in front of people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Bold claims, I know.

Signature lines are for more than just email though. This video will demonstrate how to setup and use signature lines in email, forum posts, your MySpace profile, or any place you would "sign your name", In addition to the concepts introduced, there are step by step "how-to's" in creating a signature line in Outlook, Outlook Express and popular web-clients.

Social Networking (Web 2.0)

[10:50]

MySpace.com is home to more than 100 million folks, just like you. They have discovered the fun of being able to connect with others of like interests, sharing video's and blogs, passing around slide shows that show off vacation trips or products they offer.

Although MySpace offers a lot, a lot of care has gone into making it user friendly. You don't have to be scared to create a "web-presence" that extends your message, even if you don't have a domain name and a hosting account. MySpace makes it easy. This video makes it even easier.

[7:48]

To dress up your MySpace profile, you can add slide shows of photos (or any digital images). Here are the basics on how to sign up for a free Slide.com account and create your first slide show. Slide.com has options to create a single slide show, and share it across multiple platforms like MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, Friendster and a dozen other social networking sites, at the click of a button.

You can add music, backgrounds and set options for how the captions appear. There are lots of options to play with, so get bold and experiment.

[26:17]

It's time to start really putting your personality into your MySpace page with colors, backgrounds, images and font choices. This video explores where you can edit your profile, tools you can use and third party options that have pre-built "themes" you can select from. This video is a little long, but covers a lot of information. I am working on a breakdown into smaller bite sized pieces, so check back often.

Better yet, use the link at the time of the page to have me notify you whenever there is a new release on any page on this site.

[3:20]

In the MySpace community, every time you post a comment on someone's page, send a message, or request a friendship, your photo is being displayed.

You can update the photo any time, as many times as you want.

This video walks you through uploading a new photo, and setting it as the default image to use. GIF's made a great profile photo because they allow you to display more than one image at a time. In other words, more marketing space!

[14:07]

You got your profile all tricked out, so now it's time to invite people to be your friend and come see what you did!

With more than 211 million (yes, million) people in the MySpace community, there are tons of people (that's metric tons!) to connect with.

Interested in something or somewhere in particular? There are options to find people based on criteria you set. It's a lot of fun to see who has a MySpace page and lives within 5 miles of your zip code!

[24:19]

HubPages is another free-to-use social networking site that allows you to publish articles, ad's, posts, ramblings, photo's, or whatever you want (within reason, obviously there are some restrictions).

When you are trying to get web visitors to go to one of your sites, this place helps. One of the reason's is that Google indexes this site hourly, so any new content you add, shows up almost immediately in the search results.

This video will have you up and running in less than 30 minutes.

Techie Stuff

[5:04]

You finally made the decision to get your own domain name, only, someone has already registered the exact name you wanted to use.

What do you do now?

Well, you can grab your Therasaus and look up words that mean the same thing, or you can use Register.com's Advanced Domain Name Search feature and let it suggest 20 or 30 different but similar names. Me? I take the shortcuts where ever I find them.

[24:23]

Are the phrases "tags", "body text" and "tables" foreign to you? Do you wish someone would just explain what they are, and how you use them?

This video will show you the basic's. By the end of the video, you can add headers and small formatting to your MySpace profile or embed a link to your page in your comments on other people's sites.

[7:12]

When you have your own domain, you will often need to transfer files between your computer and the Internet location (your domain). FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the means by which you send and receive those files.

I recommend Filezilla for those on a budget (it's free), and demonstrate how to find it, download it, install it and use it in this video. Personally, I use (and recommend) FTP Voyager for those that can afford it (it's about $40) because it also contains a built in scheduler that will monitor directories and upload / download files automatically for you. For most people however, Filezilla will do everything you need it to.

[6:30]

If you are selling anything on the Internet, PayPal is probably one payment option you offer. Have you ever wished you could use your own image for the Buy Now button that PayPal offers?

Well, you can.

This video demonstrates how to use your own custom image as your Buy Now button, encrypted with the name, item number, amount and a few other settings.

(This video assumes you have a hosting account where you can place your own image (for PayPal to find), and that you have created (or had created for you) an image you want to use)

[6:05]

You have probably read a dozen or more PDF files that you came across on your many web-travels. Did you know you could save it to your local computer?

Once on your computer, you can print it or email it to anyone in the world.

This video was created for the Ad Group I manage, to teach them how to use a particular document I created for them, but it applies to any PDF you find on the web.

[4:16]

How would you like to have a personal assistant that does a lot of the research you need to do, in order to be successful in whatever "niche" you choose to market in? An assistant that works without pay, without cost, without rest or potty breaks?

Google offers a free service that does just that. Give it a keyword to monitor, and every time something is added to the web for that keyword, Google will send you an email alert containing the link(s) to the pages that contain your word(s) of choice.

Let Google help you keep track of what you are interested in.

[7:18]

This video was also created for the Ad Group I manage, but again, offers some insights into finding, saving, and emailing an Adobe document (or any Office type document you find on the Internet. This video introduces a second concept for saving that is a little faster than the previous method shown. It also introduces more email options.

To the Ad Group, please refer to this video or the email I sent to find where your report is located on the web.

[16:36]

During a recent training session at my home office, I recorded a quick video for setting up a seller account in eBay and creating a listing to insert into the auction.

While it was specific to this gentlemen, the concept is the same. If you are planning on becoming an eBay seller, this video will help you get started.

PS: It also covers some basic HTML skills and the standard "tags" you will use on eBay, MySpace and a few other sites where HTML is used or available.

[14:00]

If you are using Magnetic Sponsoring to help you generate leads and commissions (getting paid to prospect), then you will need to know how to use the back office to locate links, banners, and training aids.

This video also covers setting up a "campaign" for tracking the different ways you are promoting the products, seeing the breakdown of where you traffic is coming from and following up with your prospects initially.

As I said, this is just a primer. Future video's will go into more detail.
